Depending on how you look at it there are as many questions about the three position on the Blazer roster as there are at any other position.  And that of course is one reason the Blazers made a run at signing Hedo Turkoglu.

what would make it work well?  Just looking at the rosters a trade of Shaq for Joel Przybilla, Travis Outlaw, Sergio Rodriguez and a first rounder makes perfect sense for both teams.  Everyone gets what they want and if it doesn't work out, every player could be eligible for free agency following the season.

are snipers and when they play well the Blazers are tough to beat.  I'd say the same thing for Travis Outlaw, who has vastly improved the range on his jumper this season, but his offense seems so one dimensional that I think he'll be more easily contained than Blake or Rudy.  Seriously, the guy has one move in his repetoire and couldn't dribble drive to the basket to save his life.  Outlaw either spots up with a foot on the three-point line or takes two dribbles and pulls up for an 18-footer, end of story.  If the Celtics just play him close, keep a hand in his face and don't lose him onbasket cuts when he doesn't have the ball they can completely neutralize him.

able to hide some of Augustin’s deficiencies within their team defense.  Brandon Roy and Travis Outlaw are both excellent defenders on the perimeter, and the Blazers front line of Aldridge, Oden and the Vanilla Gorilla (that’s Joel Przybilla to you folks) will do an excellent job of protecting the rim and the paint next year.

n return, we also have to consider adding one of our talented youngsters, either Martell Webster or Travis Outlaw

I remember a few months ago, I was thinking, "man, Trout is an indispensable part of our future!  Too bad Marty can't get on board, it looks like he may never 'get it'."  A little time, a little patience, and more distance from The Streak has made me think differently.  Travis has a flair for the dramatic, and he has nights where he looks unstoppable.  However, I find myself saying "ugly shot" or "that was weird" almost every time Trout releases - and about 45% of the time, after the shot goes in, I'll say "well, I guess that worked!"  Martell, on the other hand, takes shots that are more within the flow of the offense, and I always find myself saying "good look" when he lets go of the ball.  He doesn't hit as many of them as I would hope, but I like the shots he does take - if anything, I wish he would take a few more.
